Neptune, also known as Purple Heart, is the Guardian Goddess of Planeptune, a nation residing on the continent of Gamindustri, and is the main character and primary protagonist of the Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise. A being born from Share Energy, Neptune has been the protector of Planeptune and a guardian of Gamindustri for generations, preventing her world from being put in harm's way by individuals like the Deity of Sin, Rei Kiseijou, and Kurome Ankokuboshi, to name a few. While she has had a few mishaps in her Goddess life, she has continued to earn the respect of her people and will remain as the Goddess of Planeptune for generations to come.Neptune has a younger sister, and a Goddess Candidate, in the form of
Nepgear (ネプギア, Nepugia). As her younger sister, Nepgear is cherished and often doted on by Neptune, sometimes even spoiled. The two sisters have shared a strong bond and love for each other, and both sisters have always wanted to protect the other, no matter the cost.As a Goddess, Neptune is granted the highest level of use to Share Energy, an energy derived from the faith and beliefs of the citizens that are put towards the respective nation's Goddess. Share Energy has many applicable uses, ranging from creating Share Crystals and cross-dimensional portals, to allowing the Goddess using the Share Energy to transform into their Goddess Form through a phenomenon known as Hard Drive Divinity.
This transformation can go even further with the Next Form via the use of the Hyper Share Crystal, an item crafted from a Share Crystal and the remains of the Gold Crystals. The Next Form is essentially an upgraded Goddess Form, where the appearance of the user remains mostly the same, but their Processor Units and strength are completely changed.
Neptune's appearance is highly dependent on the form she is currently using. In her Human Form, Neptune's appearance takes on that of a young child, with a short figure, lilac-colored hair, and a purple-black gradient eye color. In her hair she wears white hair-clips in the shape of D-pads and around her neck is a choker that has a light blue D-pad symbol on it. She wears a mostly white hoodie dress that has a light purple hood, strings that look like controller plugs, and two huge purple and white pockets with purple D-Pad symbols on them. The sleeves have two light blue stripes going all the way down while the front of the hoodie only contains one. The ends of the sleeves and the bottom of the hoodie have dark and light purple stripes. The zipper emblem and the back of the hoodie has a purple letter "N" to represent the first symbol of her name. She wears light blue and white striped thigh high socks with frills at the tops and her shoes are purple and blue. Additionally, this portrayal of Neptune sports violet nails, having painted them herself. In her Goddess Form, Neptune's appearance changes a lot. She now looks more mature and adult-like with this transformation, sporting a taller figure, purple hair, a cyan-blue eye color gradient, and a larger chest. Purple Heart has long purple hair in twin tails that almost reaches her feet and bright blue eyes with white pupils in the shape of power signs. She wears black hair clips with glowing blue cross shapes on them, and a black bodysuit that exposes her chest somewhat. The middle of the torso has purple mesh, allowing a vague vertical view of her stomach. She also wears thigh-high boots with hexagonal patterns at the very top where they begin to cover her thighs; one filled it with purple and another just a white outline. Purple Heart's leg-wear seems as though it is the same as her Human Form, only it appears as black boots with purple tips instead. Much like her Human Form, Purple Heart also has violet nails underneath the gloves. In her Next Form, the change in appearance is not as drastic as the previous change, but there are still some notable differences. Her hair has changed to a lighter shade of purple and her twin tails have become loose. Her hair has also gotten longer. Her hairclips have opened up from their orb form, and are extended in four directions. Her black bodysuit extends throughout her body and the purple mesh that appears in her stomach now also appears in thighs but disappears from her armpits. Outside the mesh is blue outlines. Unlike her Human and HDD Forms, Next Purple has light-blue nails rather than outright purple nails, due to the slight color scheme shift.

Much like her appearance, Neptune's personality is highly dependent on the form she is currently using. In her Human Form, Neptune acts like a happy-go-lucky girl, often showing a carefree nature, but also being a kind and affectionate individual. She sometimes likes to make teasing remarks about her friends and her sister. She is also a very brave, determined, and selfless person, as she fights to protect others, even if it seems hopeless to attempt it, such as against Dark Purple, or when she fought against the resurrected Deity of Sin alone to buy time for the other three Guardian Goddesses. In her Goddess Form, Neptune's personality almost does a complete 180. The more mature side of herself begins to show, speaking in a much more mature manner. She is also much more serious in this form, taking matters more seriously than her Human Form would have. Her vocabulary is a bit more expanded, too. However, she is also a bit overconfident whenever she is on the battlefield, something she hopes to fix in the near future. In her Next Form, she loses the overconfidence and becomes very calm, to the point where she can be considered the calmest of the four Goddesses of Gamindustri. Because of this, it is very uncommon to see her become angered, as the calmness helps her focus in battle.
Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2Gamindustri Calendar, 200X; the once peaceful lands of Planeptune, Lastation, Lowee, and Leanbox would eventually be stricken with a wave of chaos brought upon by a group of cultists known as the Arfoire Syndicate of International Crime - shortened to the acronym "ASIC" - with 80% of the continental student body beginning to put their faith into the entity the cult seeks to resurrect: the Deity of Sin. In their attempt to quell the madness and restore peace to Gamindustri, the Guardian Goddesses and Goddess Candidate Nepgear set out to the Gamindustri Graveyard. However, they are quickly defeated at the hands of the Four Heavenly Kings; notably, Magic the Hard was able to subdue the Goddesses with little effort, and eventually captured them to keep their main opposition out of commission. Being held in captivity for three years, Neptune, her sister, and the other Goddesses were placed into a state of forced hibernation, slowly but surely bleeding their strength to the barest minimum. A rescue attempt by Guild Agent IF and nurse-in-training Compa, spearheaded by Planeptunian Oracle Histoire, held only a fifth of success, as the only rescuee was the Goddess Candidate Nepgear, leaving Neptune and the other three Guardian Goddesses within the confines of the Gamindustri Graveyard until they could formulate a second rescue plan. Several weeks pass, but with the collaboration of each nation's Mascot, as well as Goddess Candidates Uni, Rom, and Ram, the party enters the Gamindustri Graveyard once again. Though their progress is initially impeded by Judge the Hard, he is slain at the hands of Nepgear, who uses the power of the Share Crystal to restore the power of the Guardian Goddesses, freeing them from their three-year-long captivity, allowing Neptune and Nepgear to reunite.Their work is not yet finished, however; three of the Heavenly Kings remain at large, including Magic the Hard, thus the Guardian Goddesses are to rest until their strength has recovered a tad bit more. With her power returning to her, Neptune joins Nepgear and the others, assisting in the defeat of Trick, Brave, and Magic the Hard. Their celebration was cut short, however, as the slaying of the Four Heavenly Kings merely accelerated the resurrection of the Deity of Sin, possessing an incomplete, yet extremely powerful vessel. After a grueling fight, consisting of several teammates versus the Deity, Neptune and the others come out victorious. But, just when the Deity of Sin seemed truly defeated, its essence - an amalgamation of negative emotions and desires - emerged from the fallen vessel, seeping into the ground of the Gamindustri Graveyard and initiating the process of fusing with the entirety of the floating hellscape. After fleeing to come up with another strategy, the party learns of the resurrection of the Four Felons, prompting them to split up and take them down once again. Neptune opts to fight Magic the Hard alongside Nepgear, Noire, Blanc, and Vert, eventually taking her down a second time. With the Four Felons defeated again, the group infiltrates the Gamindustri Graveyard, where the Deity of Sin appears in a new, more powerful vessel. After yet another struggle, the Deity of Sin's essence emerges once again. However, they would not let it flee to another vessel yet again. Neptune, the other Goddesses, and all of Gamindustri pour their power and wills into Nepgear, empowering her with the positive emotions and desires to counter the Deity of Sin's cynical, primordial totality. With one last final battle, Nepgear reigns victorious, with the group fleeing the Gamindustri Graveyard as it crumbles and falls to the watery grave below it, never to be seen again. Gamindustri has been saved, and peace is able to return to the continent once more.Hyperdimension Neptunia VictoryNot so much for Neptune, however, as an encounter with Rei Kiseijou managed to get herself transformed to the Ultra Dimension, where she encountered doppelganger versions of the other three Goddesses, and a new Goddess of Planeptune: Plutia. During Neptune's time in the Ultra Dimension, she has helped her friends time and time again to stop the threat of the Seven Sages from rising up and taking over Gamindustri. From Warechu to Copypaste, from Arfoire to Anonydeath to Mr. Badd, the Seven Sages were eventually defeated entirely and disbanded. However, things begin to take a turn for the worse; duplicates of the Goddesses start to mysteriously show up before it is explained by Anonydeath - who is residing in confinement - that Rei Kiseijou, leader of the Seven Sages, is the one creating these clones with a mysterious power he has never seen before. Rei eventually comes out of hiding and reveals her Goddess Form, something she had conceded all but lost to her. She is dealt with, however, and is taken back to the Planeptune Basilicom for interrogation. Eventually, Croire intervenes, making it known to everyone that the Rei from the Hyper Dimension, the one who holds all of the power now, is going to destroy the entire Ultra Dimension, and the cast along with it. Seeing no other option, Neptune and Nepgear work together with the two Histoires to make a connection to Hyper Dimension, though this eventually results in a portal being permanently opened between the two dimensions. With Neptune and Nepgear, alongside the other Ultra Dimension Goddesses crossing into Hyper Dimension, they meet up with the Candidates and head to Planeptune City, ravaged by Rei's immensely destructive powers. They confront the Goddess, working together and using their combined strength to take down Rei, leaving everyone exhausted. Croire, however, shows up out of nowhere, alongside the Ultra Dimension Rei. Seeing an opportunity to create more chaos, Croire steals the leftover power from Ultra Rei, and eventually gives it to Hyper Rei, rejuvenating her, ready to fight yet again. The Goddesses, on their feet once again, prepare themselves for a final battle against Rei Kiseijou's full power. Though it was hard-fought, the Goddesses eventually came out on top again. With Rei's power significantly weakened, and with nobody else left to use, Croire flees back to the Ultra Dimension. Her fate would be left up to a certain young girl that the history recorder recognizes. . .Megadimension Neptunia VII
Years later, after finding a mysterious console on the ground, Neptune brings it to Nepgear and finds herself transported into a place called the 'Zero Dimension'. Presumably believing it to be a post-apocalyptic Planeptune, she has no worries whatsoever until she encounters the Dark Goddess, a large being that has been the cause of the mass destruction around her. Along the way, she meets a Goddess by the name of Uzume Tennouboshi, who helps Neptune and Nepgear get back home, in exchange for the sisters helping Uzume defeat the Dark Goddess. After having taken down the giant beast, Neptune and Nepgear bid farewell to Uzume, hoping to see them again, and return to Hyper Dimension, though not before giving Croire a bit of a scolding. Unfortunately, it's not all happiness and joy, as the CPU Shifting Period had begun prior to Neptune's disappearance. As a result, the Goddesses decide to create a large festival in order to try and regain some of the lost Shares, and largely had success, but a group by the name of the Gold Third had appeared and beat the Goddesses in battle, causing a negative reaction amongst the crowd. Moments later, a mysterious being shows up and completely rewrites the world and history of Gamindustri, removing any sort of trace of the Goddesses ever existing in Gamindustri. However, this is quickly reverted after the defeat of Affimojas, along with the help of the Gold Third in the creation of a new Share Crystal: the Hyper Share Crystal, allowing the Goddesses to take on new forms known as the Next Forms. After the defeat of Affimojas, the Goddesses are sent to investigate a mysterious wormhole that has opened up in the sky above Gamindustri. However, this ends up going wrong, resulting in the Goddesses becoming kidnapped by. . .Uzume? The Goddess Candidates then recruit the Gold Third in order to head to the Zero Dimension to find Uzume and have them return their sisters back. But, there appears to have been a mistake. The Uzume that Nepgear had seen was, in fact, not the Uzume that she knows. After this shocking news, the crew heads out to find the end of the Zero Dimension, eventually encountering the mastermind of the whole incident.
Kurome Ankokuboshi.
Revealing herself to be the True Uzume, she leads the cast to the end of the world, where she intends to halt their progress and defeat them with a monster. However, the monster is defeated, and Kurome is followed into her territory, the Heart Dimension. The bigger Neptune then says that the Goddesses are being held at the center of the Heart Dimension, and the cast makes their way over to the center. Upon their arrival, the Goddesses have been corrupted and are now forced to fight against their friends and family. The cast wins and snaps the Goddesses out of their corruption, eventually taking on, and defeating, a Dark Goddess. Kurome flees, heading to the Depths of the Heart. The cast temporarily splits up, with one group heading to the Hyper Dimension to prevent Kurome from stealing the Swirl Console, and another to try and purify Kurome by injecting Share Energy into the Share Crystal. After joining up once again, the crew heads to the Depths of the Heart for a final showdown against Kurome Ankokuboshi. A close battle, but eventually, the crew comes out on top, and Kurome has been defeated. . .
. . .of course, depending on whether you got the Ascension Ending or Revival Ending. My portrayal is canon to the Revival Ending, so go look it up on YouTube if you want to know what it's all about.Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters (current canon)
After receiving a vague distress signal from residents and Basilicom members on the eastern land of PC Continent, Neptune and the other Guardian Goddesses head out to investigate the cause. Upon arriving there, the PC Continent has been ravaged by a resurrected Deity of Sin, whom had gained an enormous amount of power after being revived. After trying to decide between saving the citizens or fighting the Deity of Sin, Purple Heart tells the others to evacuate everyone, as she chooses to take on the Deity of Sin alone to buy them some time. Little did everyone know, however, that that would be the last they saw of her. . .as Neptune was seemingly swallowed by the looming space-time distortion that consumed PC Continent as well as the Deity of Sin.
That is. . .until two years later.
Infiltrating Planeptune to liberate it from the grasp of the Trendi Phenomenon's surge of monsters, the group eventually makes it to the top of the Planeptower. And to their shock and surprise, Neptune is still alive, and has been captured by Arfoire, the Deity of Sin, in a capsule. After doing battle with Arfoire, winning, and opening the capsule, Neptune is finally freed, and the team is thankful to have recovered her. Following this, the team learns of an illegal arena that is seemingly funding Arfoire's Magiphone giveaway, thus they investigate it, eventually learning that Arfoire was using F2P as a way to siphon the funds from the arena. But they succeed in shutting it down, thus they plan to make their next move. However, after being tricked by Arfoire disguised as Compa to meet Anri out in the Black Five Forest, Gray Sister lowers her guard and eventually loses the IS Crystal at the hands of Arfoire. Following this, they come up with a plan to try and put a stop to the immortal Arfoire by sealing her in the same capsules that Neptune and the Goddess Candidates were sealed away in. But Arfoire, knowing what they were up to, eventually destroyed the only capsule they could use following their battle. After being informed by IF that Arfoire and Present Maho are heading to the floating island to claim the cursed sword Gehaburn, the team heads out to stop her. But they are too late, and Arfoire puts up a barrier of mechanical soldiers to stall their time, eventually slaying her vessel and fusing her soul with Maho's body in the process.
Using Gehaburn, Arfoire creates a hole in space, creating a space-time turbulence and revitalizing the Gamindustri Graveyard. The group retreats and comes up with one last plan to put the Deity of Sin back where it belongs. Maho, Nepgear, and Anri work together to create an improved sealing device to seal away Arfoire, whilst Neptune and the other Goddesses head out to secure the townspeople and bring them into Planeptune so they do not become frozen in space-time from the Trendi Phenomenon. After preparing, they set out to the Gamindustri Graveyard, doing battle with a fake True Deity of Sin, as well as an Arfoire-possessed Maho and Gray Sister. They succeed, and after the amnesiac Maho sacrifices herself in a pair annihilation, the Deity of Sin and Gamindustri Graveyard are seemingly no more. . .
But not all is right yet. After Nepgear comes to the group a year later, informing them that they can do one final jump back in time, everyone agrees to it in order to bring Maho back. After creating a paradox with the IS Crystal, making it so that it was never created in the first place, the time paradox is pushed to its limits and fuses all of the timelines created from Gray Sister's jumps into one timeline, where the Deity of Sin is never revived, and Maho is still alive, thus ending Sisters VS Sisters.
Side-note: Although the game portrays the timeline fusion as everyone, barring Nepgear and Maho, losing their memories of the game's events, I've decided to have Neptune retain her memories in order to keep consistency with interactions between Nepgear and Maho accounts.
Canon Neptune portrayal that mainly focuses on the games, but includes some elements from other media such as the manga.Mostly mirrors literacy. I might be a little off on the matching detail from time to time.Don't be afraid to approach the writer of the account, they are more than welcome to converse with mutuals. The writer goes by he/him pronouns, so a male writer.Fight RPs are allowed, but they won't be done on an often basis. I primarily do fluff or serious RPs.Please keep drama away from me, I like to stay out of any petty or unnecessary drama and will ignore and/or block anyone that attempts to drag me into drama.Primarily interacts with Neptunia Verse, but Multiverse interactions are more than welcome.See account's pinned tweet for more details.
